This was one of the strangest theories and story lines for a long running series that I’ve ever seen. You would think that being stranded on an island would be limiting, but these writers were incredibly creative in coming up with bizarre situations for the survivors of the plane crash, years ago. But now it over. whatever we will all be watching in its place?

We all got our census forms and most of us were good doobies and we filled them out and mailed them in. And the clusterfuck of managing all that paperwork began. No one really knows if the census forms were received or not. I know I sent in mine and yet a census worker still showed up at my door asking me to fill out one with her. So now I am in the system twice.

I wonder how many hundreds of thousands of other citizens are in the system twice and why is our government paying all these census workers to gather information that was already sent in? What a waste of time and money.

I can’t remember the name of that shop, so I am turning to the internet to try to find that shop’s web site or phone number, and worst case, an alternate source for buying the perfume that I want. the fragrance is called Bermudiana and is made from all the native flowers, right there on the island. I can’t wait to get some!

Tonight I am grilling a big salmon fillet along with a large baked sweet potato and grilled corn on the cob. I have not tried to grill salmon before, so I am a little nervous about it. Hope it turns out good – I would much rather stand out on my patio to cook than be cooped up in my tiny kitchen every night.

Wish we could be there longer than just one weekend, but this is our first meetup with new friends and it makes sense to keep the first one short. If everything works out we can always go back another time.

There is nothing good on most of the major networks and I had to cut back on the extended cable channels to save some money. So I have been turning to the DVD library and watching some of my favorite movies. Tonight I’m going to watch Terminator 1 and do the whole whole series this week. In fact, I think it will be an Arnold week.

It is a Ron Howard production, so I will expect some quality writing and directing, and the actors look like they were well chosen for their roles. I like the way the commercial shows the grandfather expressing himself and the parents seem to have no clue. It is probably a good snapshot of American culture and might even be funny.

But around here, the sky was completely overcast with snow clouds. There is no way any critter saw its shadow today. So I’m taking a stand and predicting an early spring for us!

(And yes – I know that is a beaver in my post and not a groundhog. Couldn’t find an actual groundhog in my clip art collection. So it’s going to have to be close enough. But you have to admit he’s a cuddly little critter.)

This morning we were watching the news and they were discussing whether it was proper to say “twenty ten” or should we say “two thousand ten”? I think it was only appropriate to say two thousand while they were single digits, but now that we are back to double digits we should go back to saying twenty, just as we were saying nineteen rather than one thousand nine hundred.
