Loud Sounds

There is something about certain noises that really trip my trigger. Sounds like drums, base, thunder, fireworks, shotguns, and the best ever being the low rumble of a Harley-Davidson. And if you give that bike a couple of blasts of gas while going through a tunnel, well, you just can’t get anything better than that, ever.

I can’t wait for my kid brother, Billy to get his new drum set. I never thought that he would ever venture out and replace the one that he has had all his life. We always knew he was going to be a drummer. Billy would loudly rock back and forth and bang his head in his crib, sometimes for hours before going to sleep and sometimes after he woke up. When Billy got his first real drum set, it was love at first sight. Billy lives to play the drums and has totally no interest in learning and/or playing any other musical instrument. It’s all about the drums!

So this new drum set  at that he has been talking up should be arriving at his door sometime next week. I have a feeling that we are going to see and hear from him, less and less. I’ll give him some “alone time” with it before running over to hear and see it, which isn’t easy for me since I am one of his biggest fans. Always have been and always will be. Even when he was just playing his ever popular thunder tube that he has had for so many years and has entertained dozens of people with this unique sound effect that not a lot of folks know about.

so unique in so many ways

In the mean time I’ll just have to go to the shooting range and practice my shooting with my 20 gauge shotgun to get my audio thrills.

Mailboxes Galore

My mother has convinced me to start looking for a new mailbox. According to her all residential mailboxes need to have the house number plainly visible so that any emergency personnel can quickly see and read in order to take care any type of emergency that comes up in people’s lives.

Actually I would like to buy a locking mailbox because so many identity thieves are preying on people’s mailboxes. The world has gone crazy with all of the identity theft issues going on these days. The things that we have to do in order to protect ourselves from one another, it’s just insane.

Anyway I’ve found a great website that has this huge selection of all types of mailboxes that I’m sure to find something that will fit the bill. I never new there was such a variety of mailboxes, it might take me a while to weed through them all but I’ve got patience and time on my side, at least until my mom starts in on me!

Welcome to 2017

Happy New Year! Welcome to 2017! I hope that this year brings us all a lot of good things.

We all work hard and try so hard, that we deserve to see good things come from all our efforts. I know my husband works hard to provide for his family, and I work hard to keep our home clean and comfortable. I spend a lot of time with our children and want to help them become responsible, caring, confident and successful adults.

I hope 2017 brings us all good things over the year. I saw this image and fell in love with the whole out with the old and in with the new year of 2017! Plain and simply!

A Drink and A Smoke

I never really thought about it much until I started to type this post about how many of my friends and family members enjoy getting cigarettes and liquor as gifts, guess it sounds a bit strange, but what ever floats your boat is what I’m known for saying. So with that being said I have been surfing the Internet to find discount liquor and discount cigarettes and I’m happy to say that I have been finding a good amount of both tonight.

I remember the first time I saw someone give someone a carton of cigarettes for Christmas. I thought it was the oddest gift ever, but considering how much a carton of cigarettes cost these days I can see where a smoker would certainly appreciate a whole carton of their favorite smokes as a gift.

And as for liquor, what well can I say. Who wouldn’t enjoy a bottle or two of a nice bottle of wine or what ever else they enjoy drinking, as long as they are over 21! This could make Christmas shopping a whole lot easier!

Valuable Software

My subscription for the antivirus software program that came pre-installed on my desktop PC has expired and I’m not going to just automatically renew it. I want to take a fresh look at antivirus software programs available and see if there are better options. My IT friends at the office told me check out the internet for antivirus software programs from other companies, like CyberDefender dot com for free trials and other good software to protect my PC.

While I’m checking out software I might as well take a look at the newest sibelius first software that is so useful for folks like me that likes to write music.

One of the threats that concerns me the most is the malware that sneaks onto your PC and steals your passwords and account information. I think that is the way a lot of people are exposed to identity theft and I want to make sure that whatever I do I am protected from that. Not that I keep a lot of personal stuff on the computer in the first place, but there are probably cookies with information stored deep on the hard drive that I don’t even know about. CyberDefender has products to stop malware, worms and trojans, plus other products that seem to be more aggressive than some of the free ones that I’ve seen. And I like the fact that they have a toll free phone number for technical support 24/7.
