Someone left a door hanger bag on my front door this morning and the doors of all my neighbors. It has a little plastic tube with a blue cap and a flyer in the bag with instructions on how to take a water sample. I have no idea who this company is and why they want water from my kitchen sink. The flyer says it is not affiliated with the Government’s water department and that there is no charge for the test.
This makes me wonder if I should participate or if this is the first phase of a new scam? My suspicious nature tells me that uninvited offers should be ignored. And the little kid in me would love to put something, other than my water from my kitchen sink into their little plastic tube just to mess with them. I sure hope that doesn’t make me sound like a bad person, because I’m not.’m not wanting to put anything nasty in it, like urine or stuff like that, just maybe some white vinegar or some other clear liquid that I would have around the house. I just like playing practical jokes on people. April Fools Day is one of my favorite holidays!
This is going to be a crazy busy weekend with the family Easter dinner that I am helping my sister host over at her house. After work tomorrow I am heading straight over to her place to eat dinner and do a few things before hitting the sack nice and early in her guest room in order to get a good night’s rest before tackling the weekend tasks that I have been assigned and asked to do.
Sis is going to be doing most of the cooking while I tackle the cleaning and the decorating that is needed to be done by Sunday. I’m glad that the cheesecake that I ordered online arrived yesterday. That is the only food item that I have been asked to bring to contribute to the meal. Last year, the cheesecake that I ordered was a big hit, so I hope that this year it will be just as well received.
The family is scheduled to start arriving bright and early Easter morning, to start the Easter Egg Hunt that we always hold for all the kiddies each Easter. As the family grows bigger, we need to hide more eggs so everyone will have fun finding lots of candy.
My sister was telling me that I should call 1-800-203-7063 and ask for a free 32 ounce bottle of the Nopalea wellness drink that everyone seems to be talking about. I have been having some joint pain in both of my hips, which is most likely arthritis, but I’m not quite ready yet to admit it or talk to my Primary Care Doctor about it, although I know darn well that arthritis runs in the family, both sides.
Sis tells me that the healing properties of the Nopal cactus has been being used for native peoples for many centuries for a variety of health issues and that she personally knows a few people that have been drinking this wellness drink daily and have seen a significant improvement that they are thrilled with. So all I have to do is call and pay the $9.95 shipping and handling charge to get my first bottle of this all natural wellness drink to see if I can handle the taste of it, since I am known for being an extremely picky eater (and drinker) and then take it from there.
I know I should go see my doctor but I really don’t like taking time off of work to go see him and he isn’t the warm and fuzzy type of person that I wish he would be, but he is all that I have since my current insurance has a limited list of doctors that accept them, sigh…….
Not only is vinegar a good product for so many usages, but hydrogen peroxide cleaning is right up there with them. I ran across a very interest website that explained the various ways that people can use hydrogen peroxide cleaning. I was surprised that I wasn’t aware of many of them
Greenchemdirect.com is a great site to find all types of cleaning ideas and products. Take a look you might be surprised at some of their methods and tips.
I’m all about being green. The environment is the most precious and fragile resource we have and I would do anything within my power to protect it which is why I’ve gotten so vigilant recently about being good to the natural world around me. I want to be sure that when i have kids one day they’ll able to enjoy all the same things that I do about this great planet.
I love that there are so many ways to help – for example, last week I looked into green packages just energy had to offer and I also bought a great composting machine which is going to be perfect for keeping everything all fermented for my garden. I just love growing my own food and although some of my friends call me a hippie I’ll gladly take the name if it means I get to keep this planet safe for generations to come – I don’t even mind the sacrifices I’ve had to make along the way!
