St Patrick’s Day

I love St Paddy’s day ! Mostly because I love corned beef and it gives me an excuse to make it. Corned beef has become so expensive that I really cannot justify making it more than once or twice a year. Everyone in the house loves it as well, which means I always have to purchase two because the meat gets eaten so quickly.

I have always done a traditional corned beef and cabbage pot on the stove, but I have found a new way to make it that is just as good if not better. We always have so much of the cabbage left over, I wanted something that would eliminate that waste. So I make my cabbage roasted in the oven with a balsamic drizzle when you plate it.

Instead of boiling the potatoes with the corned beef, I learned how to make colcannon. Colcannon is a traditional Irish dish that is really yummy. Just make mashed potatoes and mix with Kale. It gives the potatoes color and some extra flavor that everyone enjoys. You can google both to find out how to make them and choose a recipe that suits your taste buds.

Not Just Shopping, But Retail Therapy

Not Just Shopping

How is it that Ozmott, an app I hadn’t heard about until recently but has been around since 2012, has figured out how to complete my life?! I’ve used numerous shopping apps, however this one has proven itself unique.

Ozmott has taken all of the perks such as Rewards, Social Networking, Gaming & Ease of Use to a level that I can truly appreciate. I didn’t have to spend hours sifting through offers and clipping items I want to use. However, I can add deals to my Cloud if I thought I might want to use them later. I was able to add my friends to the app so that they could get deals too and I (most importantly) earned bigger rewards for the more friends I added!

The rewards system Ozmott uses is called “Pips”. They carry two types of deals: Regular (the white ones) and Luxe (the gold ones) Guess which ones have the biggest discounts? Yep, Luxe! Unlock one of those babies and you’re saving some dolla dolla billz y’all! Quick tip-they give you 100 Pips just for signing up to help get you rolling.

OH! GEOlocation is such a cool feature! It brings up the offers/stores that have deals NEAR me! And not, the closest metro near me BUT REALLY, the ones right in my town literally 1 mile away! Or closer, depending on where you are.. duh;) Since I live in such a small town that finding a guitar center near me or any of the many stores that that I spend a good amount of money at can only be find online unless I want to drive 3 hours to get to any place of a decent sized brick and mortar store(s)

Ozmott doesn’t send me those ANNOYING push notifications! They don’t even ask! I was so happy not to be bothered with this. I’m sorry if I seem over the top on this issue but it is definitely a pet peeve.

So, let’s wrap this up in a tight little package and use it to save some cash during the Holidays.

  • Geolocation – Shows you what deals are close
  • Social Network – Let’s me brag to my friends if I want
  • Rewards System – Get paid to share with my friends
  • Not Annoying!
  • Oh, and let’s not forget easy.. It really is an easy app to sign up with and use
right away.
Have Fun and Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2017

Happy New Year! Welcome to 2017! I hope that this year brings us all a lot of good things.

We all work hard and try so hard, that we deserve to see good things come from all our efforts. I know my husband works hard to provide for his family, and I work hard to keep our home clean and comfortable. I spend a lot of time with our children and want to help them become responsible, caring, confident and successful adults.

I hope 2017 brings us all good things over the year. I saw this image and fell in love with the whole out with the old and in with the new year of 2017! Plain and simply!

Flowers For Christmas In England

Sending a holiday flower arrangement overseas wasn’t as difficult as I first imagined it would be. I have always sent my BFF flowers for Christmas and since she has moved to England I’ve been wondering how I was going to manage to keep that long standing tradition going. I managed to use the Internet to my advantage, once again, and found a way to send flowers uk style that isn’t going to cost me a fortune and I’m really pleased with myself right now.

She has always been a flower child, so to speak, her parents were genuine hippies of the 70’s, so she gets it honestly. So I don’t think she will need the paper work that will be included with the directions that they always send on how to keep your newly delivered flowers fresh looking by using the additives that they always supply the receivers of the new arrivals.

She is really happy over in England for various reasons. Learning about new species of plants and flowers has kept her busy in her free time over there. It wouldn’t surprise me if she eventually started her own florist over there at some point. Might as well make some money doing something that you enjoy right.

A Drink and A Smoke

I never really thought about it much until I started to type this post about how many of my friends and family members enjoy getting cigarettes and liquor as gifts, guess it sounds a bit strange, but what ever floats your boat is what I’m known for saying. So with that being said I have been surfing the Internet to find discount liquor and discount cigarettes and I’m happy to say that I have been finding a good amount of both tonight.

I remember the first time I saw someone give someone a carton of cigarettes for Christmas. I thought it was the oddest gift ever, but considering how much a carton of cigarettes cost these days I can see where a smoker would certainly appreciate a whole carton of their favorite smokes as a gift.

And as for liquor, what well can I say. Who wouldn’t enjoy a bottle or two of a nice bottle of wine or what ever else they enjoy drinking, as long as they are over 21! This could make Christmas shopping a whole lot easier!
